Jaime Iván Hurtado is an entrepreneur and publishing consultant with more than 20 years of experience supporting Latin American publishers, universities, and content organisations through digital transformation. He is the founder and CEO of Hipertexto and libreriadelau.com (Colombia) and Netizen Digital Solutions (Mexico), and co-founder of Ediciones de la U, Yoleo.online and Buksy.club.
Through Hipertexto–Netizen, he has led high-impact initiatives across the region, developing digital platforms and publishing ecosystems, strengthening metadata and discoverability through solutions such asSIMEH, and enabling multi-channel distribution across print, print-on-demand, ebooks, and audiobooks. This work has also been driven by strategic alliances and partnerships with globally recognised companies shaping the future of publishing and digital content.
A specialist in STM, scientific, and academic publishing, he served as President of the Colombian Association of University Presses (ASEUC) and has worked internationally as a consultant and speaker for organisations such as CERLALC/UNESCO and United Bible Societies. He currently develops high-impact projects with national and regional university press associations, including EULAC (Association of University Presses of Latin America and the Caribbean) and Mexico’s Red Altexto, among others. He has also served on the Board of the Colombian Book Chamber.
