Raúl Pérez has worked in media-related industries for over 20 years in companies like RBA (magazines), El País (newspapers) and CNN+ (TV). In 2011 Raúl Joined Grupo Planeta (Spanish largest media conglomerate).
As Digital Transformation Manager (Office of the CEO), Raúl was charged in 2013 of defining and coordinating a corporate digital strategy among all Group´s BUs. In 2016 he moved to an intrapreneur role before being charged by the CEO to build Planeta´s Corporate Venture Capital Unit in 2018. In 2020 Raúl was appointed Managing Director of Nubico, Spain´s largest subscription-based digital reading service, company successfully sold to Nextory (8-figure exit). Currently, Raúl is Head of Digital of Planeta´s Publishing Division.
Raúl obtained his MBA in Esade Business School and completed studies in IESE Business School (PDG), El Pais-Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Master in Journalism) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Bachelor’s degree in Economics).
